The fact is that the Muslims are ruled by secular governments and institutions except for Saudi Arabia and Iran but they have their excesses.

The Muslim sheikhs and leaders are afraid or paid by governments they can not say freely what they say.

The religion and mosques are nationalized.

In Egypt the Azhar rector and Mufti are government employees.

The Islamic religious education in Egypt and else where were curtailed after 9/11.
In Turkey no Islamic schools are allowed and the mosques nationalized.

Lastly, the inferiority complex propagated by the secular who control the press.

Narrow Mind Reading from Quraan Koran

It is very dangerous to read the Koran with narrow mind. In Islam you have to use your brain. You do not be lazy and use the word by word interpretation of words commands. You have to use your mind and this is how one can boast about Islam. Reasoning should prevail. There are boundaries and red line where you can go. As an example one can not take away the obligation of prayers as an example. However, look at homosexuality as some Muslims claim they are born with it and can not over come it if this is the case they should not be condemned.
