The Islamic Sharia Law is Viewed Many Things to Different People An Analysis by Sherif S Monem

The Islamic Sharia law jurisprudence should not be viewed uniquely in its perspectives and should not be rigid and inflexible at all but adaptable with contemporary time and place. Many people see it in a different ways. Unfortunately, the attacks on Sharia Law are that belonging of what small segment of Muslim population that see it in very restrictive way and to the letter. Many others see it in more liberal ways. Some see it as living rules that adapt with time and place and is not chiseled in stone like Moses ten commandments. The attacks on  Sharia Law are by people who think that  Sharia Law as seen only by the  literal-ists ignoring the rest. This is very unfortunate and unfair. The Sharia should be seen as composed by two parts. One part is fixed and contains fundamentals of Islam that can not be changed and another part that can be changed to adapt with time and location.
