Early life Brown acquired his BA at Cornell University and his MD from Brown University Medical School, and received residency training as an opthamologist at George Washington University Hospital . [2] He worked as an ophthalmologist in the US Air Force for eight years. [   Conversion to Islam Although originally an atheist born to non-practicing Christian Quakers , he experienced a personal miracle when his daughter's lethal heart defect suddenly disappeared after he had prayed for God to intercede on her behalf. The time of prophet Muhamed is not like our times. So mixing of men and women should not be a big deal. Actually, they should be mixed and encouraged to do so. However, sexual relationships out of marriage bondage should be prohibited. Any such violation is the man and woman problem and not the mixing. Muslim men and women should learn control.
