A devotional Quraan-Koran for the sole purpose of devotion should be created not to include such ayat about war or 7idood penal code. The Original Quraan would maintained in all entirety though  no single word or latter taken out. A devotion prayer Qoraan is a must and scholars of Islam should convene to come with new one.

It is extremely dangerous to extrapolate what prophet Muhamed said in his time to our present time. Consider for example for women to pray at home preference. It is certainly not recommended in our times where women actually should participate more fully in mosques and leadership.
